Depending on the qualification, the Indian Air Force may join the Flying, technical, or Ground Duty branch as an officer.

Indian Air Force 10+2

The Indian Air Force just after graduating from school, should appear in the NDA test conducted by the UPSC. The qualification required for the NDA Entry Scheme is 10 + 2 for Physics and Mathematics and the age of the candidate should be between 16 and 19 years.

Indian Air Force After Graduation

UPSC conducts CDSE and NCC Examination Scheme Examination for graduate candidates,

CDS Examination

The UPSC will conduct CDS tests twice a year in February and September. Students who intend to serve the country by joining the Defense Force may begin applying for the CDS exam. The selection of candidates will be based on a written exam followed by a competency and personality test. Selected candidates will be placed in academic institutions according to their preference and eligibility.

NCC Special Entry

Candidates desirous of joining the Flying Branch of the Indian Air Force and possessing the Air Wing Senior Division 'C' certificate of the National Cadet Corps are eligible to apply for NCC Special Entry.

Indian Air Force After Engineering

Opponents may join the IAF after completing their Engineering degree or equivalent degree recognized by the UPSC with the above entry programs.


UES Entry

The University Entry Scheme (UES) is designed for pre-finalist engineering students to join the IAF technical branch. The first training of students was done at AFA, and in time they should join Air Force Technical College in Bangalore to further their technical knowledge.


AFCAT Exam

The "Air Force Common Admission Test" (AFCAT) was conducted by the Indian Air Force. To select Class-I Gazetted Officers in Flying and Ground Duty (technical and non-technical), the examinations are held twice in February and August / September respectively. AFCAT is the best opportunity and it is the way for both candidates and women who wish to join the Indian Air Force to both the Short Service Commission and the Permanent Commission / Flying Branch Commission. 
Candidates are selected on the basis of their performance in an online interview with the Air Force Selection Board (AFSB). In addition to the active flying branch, you can also work in the underlying branches of the Indian Air Force, including the Administration Branch, Accounts Branch, Logistics Branch, Education Branch, and Weather Branch.
 Indian Air Force After Graduation Applicants with undergraduate and postgraduate degree in Science / Mathematics / Mathematics / Geography / Computer Application / Natural Sciences / Applied Physics / Oceanography / Agricultural Climate / Environment and Environment / Geophysics / Environmental Biology with PG and Mathematics completed . All eligible candidates must obtain at least 50% of the AFCAT credentials of the IAF branch. Applicants applying for a branch of employment may join the Indian Air Force on the basis of a permanent or short-term service commission. 
 

Indian Air Force After Post Graduation

Candidates who have undergraduate and postgraduate in Science stream / Mathematics / Statistics / Geography / Computer Application / Environmental Science / Applied Physics / Oceanography / Agricultural Meteorology / Ecology and Environment / Geophysics / Environmental Biology with PG and Mathematics completed. All the candidates should have secured a minimum of 50% marks who are eligible for AFCAT for ground duty branches of IAF. Candidates applying for ground duty branches can join the Indian Air Force on the basis of permanent or short service commission.

Apart from education qualification, candidates should have the minimum required physical height for the post, as notified by the authority.
